Administrative
- Performs general office duties and day to day administrative tasks
- Coordinates staff schedules
- Schedules and coordinates staff meetings
- Supervises the daily operations of the facility
- Orders all supplies and equipment, including purchases of department materials, through an administrative assistant and within budget constraints Communication:
- Schedules appointments and group exercise classes
- Directs incoming/outgoing calls to appropriate parties
- Communicates with internal and/or external customers Employee Relations:
- Manages sensitive or confidential information in a professional manner
- Interacts tactfully and diplomatically with personnel Recordkeeping/Reporting:
- Prepares, maintains, and files appropriate administrative records/documents
- Oversees statistical membership/financial data through Wellness software system
- Receives all invoices, reviews for accuracy, codes and sends to administrative assistant Regulation:
- Adheres to NMHS Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
- Complies with Medical Fitness Association (MFA) and HIPAA regulations/guidelines Job Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in a fitness/wellness related field with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role; preferred. Willing to consider a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a medical based fitness/wellness supervisory role in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- Must maintain CPR/AED certification; required
- Nationally accredited certification (Check Medical Fitness Association for accredited certifications); preferred
- Experience in public speaking and ability to teach group fitness classes; preferred
- Working knowledge of computer skills; required
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point; required
- Proficient in the use of various office equipment; required
- Excellent interpersonal skills; required
