Job Summary

The Maintenance Lead is an electro-mechanical maintenance professional responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, production uptime, safety, and operational efficiency within a manufacturing environment. This role performs and coordinates complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and preventative maintenance activities while serving as a technical resource and mentor to maintenance technicians and production associates. The position supports troubleshooting, equipment repair, installations, continuous improvement initiatives, and preventative maintenance programs while ensuring compliance with OSHA, environmental, electrical, and company safety standards.

Essential Responsibilities

· Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial production and facility equipment including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and automated systems.

· Sustain production uptime by responding quickly to equipment failures and minimizing downtime through effective diagnostics and repairs.

· Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities including inspections, testing, lubrication, calibration, alignment, and equipment adjustments.

· Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.

· Utilize diagnostic tools and test equipment including multimeters, amp meters, process instrumentation, and laptop-based systems.

· Support equipment rebuilds, overhauls, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability, safety, quality, and efficiency.

· Coordinate maintenance activities with operations, engineering, vendors, contractors, and other maintenance personnel.

· Train and mentor maintenance technicians and production associates on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and minor adjustments.

· Maintain accurate work orders, preventative maintenance records, line checklists, inventory records, and shift reports.

· Monitor maintenance inventory and initiate procurement or repair actions for replacement parts and equipment.

· Support off-shift and weekend maintenance operations through on-call troubleshooting and emergency response as required.

· Promote effective communication, teamwork, housekeeping, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Knowledge

· Industrial machinery maintenance, repair methods, and preventative maintenance practices.

· Electrical systems including 480V three-phase power, motors, drives, controls, and PLCs.

· Hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and automated manufacturing systems.

· OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and industrial safety practices.

· Manufacturing operations, technical schematics, blueprints, and maintenance documentation.

Skills

· Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems.

· Skilled in equipment repair, installation, calibration, and maintenance.

· Proficient with hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and precision measuring instruments.

· Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to train and mentor employees in maintenance procedures and safe work practices.

Abilities

· Analyze equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.

· Work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

· Collaborate effectively across operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams.

· Safely perform physical maintenance activities including lifting, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing.

Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements

· Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.

· Properly use required PPE and safely operate tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment.

· Identify, report, and correct unsafe conditions and hazardous work practices.

· Safely handle and store chemicals and hazardous materials in accordance with SDS and company procedures.

· Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping and 5S/6S standards.

· Work in industrial manufacturing environments with exposure to moving machinery, electrical systems, noise, heat, vibration, dust, and varying temperatures.

· Participate in required safety training, emergency response procedures, and incident reporting activities.

Pay: From $37.50 per hour
