Job Summary:

The Safety Manager provides strategic leadership for the organization's environmental, health, and safety programs to protect employees, support regulatory compliance, and strengthen operational performance. Working collaboratively with leaders across the organization, this role develops systems, policies, and improvement initiatives that reduce risk while fostering a culture where safety is integrated into every aspect of the business. The position serves as the organization's primary resource for environmental, health, and safety strategy and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree, equivalent education, military training, apprenticeship, or demonstrated combination of education and progressively responsible environmental, health, and safety experience.

· Professional safety certifications or coursework in occupational safety, environmental compliance, emergency response, or industrial hygiene.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Advanced education related to occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental sciences, engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline.

· Experience supporting machine safeguarding, robotic cell safety, lockout/tagout, or automated manufacturing environments is preferred.

Required Experience:

· Progressive experience managing workplace safety and regulatory compliance within manufacturing, industrial, construction, or similar environments.

· Experience developing, implementing, and improving safety programs and compliance initiatives.

· Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning.

· Experience interpreting and applying regulatory requirements while collaborating with operational leadership.

· Experience developing and delivering safety education or workforce training.

Preferred Experience:

· Experience supporting composite manufacturing, industrial fabrication, aerospace, automotive, or related manufacturing operations.

· Experience leading safety efforts during facility startup, expansion, or organizational growth.

· Experience supporting ISO management systems or customer-driven quality and environmental systems.

· Experience managing workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, or contractor safety programs.

· Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's environmental, health, and safety programs to reduce risk and support operational excellence.

· Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company standards, and customer expectations through proactive program management and operational partnership.

· Partner with operational leadership to identify risks, implement preventive controls, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

· Direct incident investigations, corrective action planning, and trend analysis to reduce recurrence and strengthen organizational learning.

· Develop and monitor safety performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and guide strategic improvement initiatives.

· Lead safety education and awareness efforts that build employee engagement, leadership accountability, and regulatory compliance.

· Manage emergency preparedness, contractor safety, environmental compliance, and related risk management programs.

· Advise leadership on emerging regulatory requirements, organizational risks, and strategic initiatives that support long-term business success.

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements

· Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.

· Properly use required PPE and safely operate tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment.

· Identify, report, and correct unsafe conditions and hazardous work practices.

· Participate in safety investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action activities.

· Work in industrial manufacturing environments with exposure to moving machinery, electrical systems, noise, heat, vibration, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.

· Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping and 5S standards.

· Participate in required safety training, emergency response procedures, and incident reporting activities.

Pay: $87,000.00 - $119,000.00 per year
