Quality Engineer Senior

As a Quality Engineer Senior, this role supports manufacturing process and product quality by learning and applying Goodyear standards and procedures in collaboration with experienced team members. The position focuses on understanding customer requirements, applying technical solutions, monitoring process performance, and working within defined quality guidelines to meet product and process expectations. The role also supports problem-solving, plant optimization initiatives, and the creation, auditing, and maintenance of product and process specifications to ensure compliance. Strong collaboration, timely task completion, and effective participation in corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts are key to delivering business results.
What You’ll Do
Develop and advise on innovative technical solutions, processes, and technologies to meet product and manufacturing requirements while managing risk appropriately.
Lead and support problem identification and resolution by developing new tools, methods, data analysis techniques, and fact‑based decision frameworks.
Collaborate cross‑functionally and externally to solve complex technical challenges and ensure effective knowledge and technology transfer.
Execute and advise on project planning, execution, risk management, and closeout to achieve project objectives and deliver business value.
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to others, advising on evolving technologies, novel processes, and high‑impact improvement initiatives.
Anticipate risks and conflicts, develop mitigation strategies, and apply lessons learned to improve project and process effectiveness.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelors degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math.
5 or more years experience across at least two departments, divisions or locations.

Demonstrated ability to teach and apply systematic problem solving tools and techniques.
Demonstrated ability to understand and troubleshoot complex equipment and process problems.
Demonstrated ability to teach and apply new tools and techniques to improve existing processes.
Cross-functional project leadership/management experience, PMP certification preferred.
